Lindsay Garvin - MA, Music, PDGE in Secondary Music (QTS), BMus Hons, Certified Piano Technician, ISM

Lindsay has devoted her life to the pursuit of music, having commenced piano lessons at the age of four and taking up the accordion at the age of nine. A recipient of a music scholarship at Rossall School, she furthered her studies with a full boarding scholarship at Chethams School of Music, immersing herself in full-time music education.

With a strong academic background, Lindsay has attained the highest accolades in the field of music, education and business, culminating in master's level degrees, as well as two postgraduate degrees in Music and Piano Technology. Currently, she is working towards achieving a Licentiate of Trinity College London in Piano Performance, benefitting from guidance and mentorship from her connections with Chethams.

Following her completion of studies in piano technology in Canada in 2016, Lindsay transitioned into the roles of a secondary school music teacher, piano tuner, and private piano teacher. As her piano tuning clientele expanded rapidly, she established 'The Piano School' in 2019, offering comprehensive piano teaching and tuning services.

Lindsay expresses gratitude for the opportunities and support she has received, which have contributed to the success and prosperity of her business. She also takes pleasure in giving back by providing musical opportunities for the community of the Fylde Coast.

‘I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where each student's unique needs, abilities, and learning styles are taken into consideration. Whether you are a complete beginner, an adult learner, or an advanced musician, I tailor my teaching methods to suit you.

I strongly believe that each lesson should have a clear purpose and be relevant to the student's interests and intentions. My goal is to empower students to become independent, well-rounded, and creative musicians who have the skills to express themselves freely, play with technical precision, and deepen their musical knowledge.’
